The Strathalbyn Agricultural Show is an annual event held each year on the Public Holiday long weekend in October, showcasing on the Sunday our equestrian horses-in-action competition at the Strath Polo Grounds, Callington Road, and the public holiday Monday is the main show day when all our show sections display and exhibit our local farming produce, livestock (dairy & beef cattle, alpacas, sheep, dairy goats) with all the indoor exhibitions in the Show Hall at the sports oval grounds in Coronation Road.
The show is located in the heart of the township and both visitors and locals enjoy a family day of browsing the exhibitions, displays, livestock, kids games, Strath Trail Bag, carnival amusement rides, fairy floss, showbags and walking around the business trade sites. With hundreds of exhibitors each year, the show can attract a large number of the public over the event days.
Take a look at our show display in the Alexandrina Council Library during September.
