BREAKING NEWS – Due to the current Government restrictions for large events in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainties pertaining to this, it is with heavy hearts that the decision has been made by the Strathalbyn Agricultural Society Committee that the Strathalbyn Show will not be held in 2020 as originally scheduled, thus all efforts will be put towards celebrating the 150th Strathalbyn Show on 4th October 2021.
In this way, uncertainties regarding large social gatherings and safe distancing, with the possibility of low attendances and the unavailability of traders, as well as any issues such as insurance etc, can be avoided.
We would like to take this time to thank our Patrons, all of our show section sponsors, past and present along with the Strathalbyn Community for their ongoing support.
We hope to see you all in 2021 at our 150th Anniversary Show!
The Strathalbyn Agricultural Show is an annual event held each year on the South Australian Public Holiday long weekend in October, showcasing our equestrian horses-in-action competition and many show sections are on display, exhibiting the local farming produce, livestock (dairy & beef cattle, alpacas, sheep, dairy goats) plus the indoor exhibitions
The show is relocating to a larger venue on Milnes Road, (near the town centre) and both visitors and locals can enjoy a family day of browsing the many varied exhibitions, displays, livestock, “Show Us Your Talent”, kids games, Strath Trail Bag, carnival amusement rides, fairy floss, showbags and walking around the business trade sites.
With hundreds of exhibitors each year, the show can attract a large number of the public for a family day outing.
